BBC Pulls Ed Westwick Drama Off Christmas Schedule After Rape Allegations Emerged

Following two accusations of rape aimed at the Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick, the BBC has pulled a big-budget drama starring Ed Westwick from its Christmas schedules.

Ed Westwick denied the rape accusation by both women, BBC still pulled off the drama, adding that he was also “paused from filming” BBC comedy White Gold.

The BBC said:

“These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied. The BBC is not making any judgement but until these matters are resolved we will not include Ordeal By Innocence in the schedules.”The independent production company making White Gold has informed us that Ed Westwick has paused from filming while he deals with these allegations.”

On Wednesday, a second woman came forward to accuse British actor Westwick of rape.

Westwick was in the cast of the Agatha Christie murder mystery Ordeal By Innocence.It was a three-part series.
